Concept rendering · A taste of what’s to come
At Rooted, we’re creating a menu inspired by the earth: vibrant produce, fragrant herbs, and wholesome ingredients, freshly prepared with care. Simple food, full of flavor. The kind of meal you can slow down and savor while spending time with your community.
Our focus is on the goodness of freshly grown foods and the possibilities they bring to the table. From a crisp, colorful salad to a comforting bowl of homemade soup, we want every visit to offer something delicious to look forward to.
Come for lunch, take a break between browsing the market and visiting SOIL, or gather with friends over something delicious. Rooted is our invitation to enjoy wholesome food and good company in one welcoming place.
We’re still growing the menu. Join our mailing list for opening news, menu previews, and a first look at what we’ll be serving.
Concept rendering · A glimpse of what’s growing
Welcome to SOIL, where we’re bringing together a love of plants, thoughtful living, and the joy of helping something grow. Picture lush greenery, fragrant herbs, and beautiful plants that make your space feel more inviting—from your kitchen windowsill to your favorite corner of the garden.
Our planned collection includes culinary herbs, edible plants, and plants with traditional medicinal uses, alongside greenery chosen simply for its beauty. We look forward to helping you discover what fits your space, your interests, and your growing journey.
Traditional medicinal use does not mean a plant is suitable for everyone. Plants sold for decoration are not necessarily edible; always confirm a plant’s identity and intended use before consuming it.
Find something that feels like it was chosen just for you—or someone you love. We’re curating one-of-a-kind gifts, distinctive planters, and thoughtful treasures that celebrate nature, creativity, and everyday moments. A special find for a friend. A little happiness for your home. Something worth stopping in to discover.
Beautiful greenery, useful herbs, and edible plants for curious beginners and devoted plant lovers alike.
Planters, pots, plant-care accessories, and distinctive finishing touches that help your plants feel at home.
Gardening materials, growing essentials, and tools to help you plant, pot, tend, and enjoy your own patch of green.
Whether you’re choosing your very first plant, searching for a memorable gift, or dreaming up your next garden project, we’re creating a welcoming place to explore. Our collection is taking shape, and we can’t wait to share it with you.
Concept rendering · Our vision for the market
Whether you’re turning a passion into your first business or introducing an established brand to new customers, Vendor Village is being created as a place to connect. We envision a welcoming market where entrepreneurs can share their work, meet their neighbors, and grow alongside other local businesses.
For our community, the market will offer a chance to discover independent makers, find something special, and get to know the people behind local businesses. Every visit is an opportunity to build relationships and support the creativity right here in North St. Louis County.
Introduce your products, services, and story to people who value local businesses.
Meet fellow entrepreneurs and explore opportunities to learn from one another.
Tell us what you offer and what you need as we plan this new community destination.
Join our community tree-planting day at 11 a.m. in Florissant.
Tree-planting details & volunteer signup ↗North St. Louis County is home to talented people, hardworking entrepreneurs, and neighbors with ideas worth nurturing. The Rooted Together Foundation exists to help connect that potential with knowledge, resources, relationships, and opportunities to grow.
We envision a community where a young entrepreneur can take a first step, families can learn to grow fresh food, neighbors can help make their surroundings greener, and small businesses can find encouragement and practical support.
Our planned work brings together entrepreneurship education, workforce development, youth learning, community gardening, environmental education, and neighborhood-focused projects. These are the opportunities we’re working to build with our community.
The Foundation is the separate nonprofit arm of this vision. Pharm Fresh Place, SOIL, and Vendor Village are commercial ventures; the Foundation’s role is to develop charitable and educational opportunities that serve the broader community. Planned collaborations at the campus will bring people together around learning, entrepreneurship, and community growth.
We’re inviting neighbors, entrepreneurs, educators, and community partners to express interest in a Community Advisory Board. Help us understand local priorities, offer honest feedback on program ideas, strengthen connections, and shape opportunities that reflect the people we hope to serve.
You don’t need a particular job title to care about your community. We welcome lived experience, practical ideas, and a willingness to listen and contribute. This advisory role is separate from the Foundation’s governing Board of Directors. Meeting schedules and participation expectations will be shared as the group takes shape.
We’re stirring up something special—fresh flavors, wholesome ingredients, and a little comfort in every bite and sip.
Our menu is still taking shape.
Come back soon for your first taste of Rooted.

We’re Michelle L. Perkins, M.A., and Jason Perkins—a husband-and-wife duo from North County, both entrepreneurs, and the family behind Pharm Fresh Place.
Our connection to this community is personal. Our children grew up and attended school in the Florissant area. Today, we’re proud parents of seven adult children and grandparents to one grandson. Family, community, and the possibilities we can create together are at the heart of what we’re building.
Pharm Fresh Place brings our love for this community together with our entrepreneurial spirit. We’re creating a welcoming place to shop, grow, and connect—a place where neighbors can gather, small businesses can flourish, and something good can take root for the next generation.
Have a question, an idea, or an interest in getting involved? We’d love to hear from you.
